In an industry full of perfection, you are up against a slew of perfect bodies. You have to show that you are the best candidate, over the competition. Know how to sell yourself and target the market that works best for you. Targeting the wrong market can be an embarrassing blunder for you. The skill of the photographer is essential. Companies want to make sure that their models models are well worth the investment.

You need to prove that you are completely serious. That means do not pick an off the shelf camera, with your friend taking the shots. It is important to invest in a professional photographer and preferably one that specializes in modeling photography. Be careful when selecting a photographer. There is always room for improvement but, being second best is not an option. If you have the sheer talent, the portfolio, and the commitment, you may just be model material.
